Abstract
This article examines the democratization of fashion journalism, influenced by digital technologies, within the context of Russian and international academic discourse. The traditional fashion media model, in which trends were dictated by a limited number of elite publications, has given way to a pluralistic model of fashion information dissemination, where consumers and content creators have become equal creators of the fashion narrative — a set of key meanings produced by various participants in the fashion media communications process. Using a theoretical review method, the author analyzes scholarly sources and draws conclusions regarding the manifestations of this process, as well as its impact on the further development of fashion media communications. The study draws on a theoretical framework that includes works on the democratization of fashion and the media in general, as well as on the evolution of fashion media.
