Abstract
The author continues the research on the history of Russian gastronomic journalism in the XIX century. The aim of the article is to present key milestones in the establishment and development of the magazine “Nasha pishcha” (Russian: “Our food”) from 1891 to 1896. Special attention is paid to the change of publishers, each of whom adjusted the program and content of the magazine. Thoughtful rubrics, thematic diversity, and active interaction with advertisers and the readership — these and other editorial measures were intended to address public food supply challenges.
Keywords: gastronomic journalism, “culinary patriotism”, concept, Nasha Pishcha magazine, publishers.
